Titanium Tubes / Heat Exchangers

For consistently low temperatures and reproducible anodizing results in thermally stressed anodizing baths, active cooling is indispensable. For highly efficient heat exchangers, we offer very thin-walled tubing made of pure titanium.

With a thermal conductivity of λ = 22 W/(m⋅K), titanium has, for example, a 130-fold higher thermal conductivity than PVC (λ = 0.17 W/(m⋅K); similar values apply to other plastics). At the same time, titanium is far less susceptible to impact and scratching, easy to bend, and insensitive to temperature fluctuations.

With regard to the tube parameters, the following specifications currently apply:

• Length: 100mm or multiples thereof (200mm, 300mm ...)
  Please simply order as many 100mm units as required for your desired total length; for example, for 2 tubes each 300mm long, order a quantity of “6” (= 600mm).
  You can then specify the desired individual lengths under “Notes” during address entry (e.g. “Please supply 2 tubes of 300mm each”).
• Tolerances on all tube lengths: +/-2mm
• Maximum single tube length: 2000mm

If you wish to process the tubes yourself: the tubes can be very easily cut to size and adjusted, for example with a small metal saw.

Please note: Bending thin-walled tubes cleanly requires a certain level of experience. To avoid costly scrap, we therefore recommend having longer tubes bent directly by us. Simply send us the corresponding drawing or sketch. We will then check whether and how your design can be implemented.

With regard to bending, the following specifications apply:

• Bending radius is 24mm (neutral axis; with an 8mm tube diameter and a 180° bend, the inner diameter is therefore 40mm, and the outer diameter 56mm)
• Any bending angles up to 180° are possible
• Depending on the geometry, bends may not be possible at all positions. If any issues arise, we will contact you and work with you to determine a feasible solution.

Regarding shipping costs:
As the online shop is unfortunately unable to determine the volume of the finished bent heat exchanger/tube or the length of the individual pieces, the shipping costs may change. Please do not transfer the total amount after receiving the (automatically generated) order confirmation, but wait for our notification of the actual shipping costs incurred.
